Apple (AAPL.US) Reportedly Discusses Adding AI Models to CN iPhones with TENCENT, ByteDance
Apple (AAPL.US) is in discussions with TENCENT (00700.HK) and TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, to integrate their AI models into iPhones sold in mainland China, Reuters quoted insiders as saying.
As part of its Apple Intelligence product, Apple began rolling out OpenAI-developed ChatGPT on its devices this month, but ChatGPT isn't available in mainland China, forcing Apple to seek local partners for support to its AI features.
